The climate is characterised with cool winters and cool summers. Generally, Victoria experiences cooler temperatures with large variations in annual and seasonal rainfall across the state. During the winter months, the alpine region experiences significant snowfall.

    Winter (June – August)

    Climate: Winter is usually cold, overcast, and nighttime frosts are common. The alpine region experiences snow fall.

    Temperature: Average temperatures range from 6.5 - 14.2°C (43.7 - 57.6°F).

    Spring (September – November)

    Climate: October is the wettest month averaging around 10 days of rainfall.

    Temperature: Average temperatures range from 9.6 - 19.6°C (49.3 - 67.3°F).
